Facebook

Facebook concerns almost all businesses that target consumers as it has 6,744,991 members in Greece and more than 1.7 billion monthly active users worldwide. A presence on Facebook is an essential component of any online marketing plan. The main positive element of the platform or a large pool of users and therefore in terms of customer power, your products and  or services are addressed to a wide audience, with great potential for impact. Advertising campaigns, if used with the appropriate customization according to the business and the market you are targeting, can be particularly useful. Facebook remains the obvious choice to address your messages and participate with them in a conversation that can be efficient and fruitful.

Twitter

The use of Twitter concerns a multitude of businesses, but is usually more efficient for businesses that operate mainly in the field of information, entertainment, fun  and education. The nature of the medium is more direct and lends itself to broadcasting any form of activity, real-time information and fast, but limited, dialogue. Many businesses use Twitter efficiently to inform their audience of changes or developments in issues that concern them (travel companies, transport companies, technology companies) and as a tool for customer service. Twitter has 313 million active users per year, so it has a much smaller audience than Facebook. For businesses that want to simply spread an advertising message, it is certainly not the best choice, but Twitter has the ability to increase engagement with potential customers.

Linkedln

It is mainly aimed at B2B businesses, such as human resource management companies, public relations agencies, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, but also for service companies such as facility management & security. Its members are mainly professionals in specific industries, so its use gives the opportunity to communicate with a completely specialized audience.

Instagram & Pinterest

Both media  are based on photography, so they are mainly aimed at professionals and businesses that produce products and businesses that exploit the image and produce rich relevant content.  For example, businesses operating in the tourism, food, DIY and fashion sectors have particularly benefited from the visibility of their messages through Instagram and Pinterest. It is worth noting that Pinterest has a very large and loyal female audience. Extroverted businesses in the fashion and beauty sectors are definitely worth having in their online marketing strategy.

YouTube

Although YouTube  is not listed as "social", YouTube  is one of the most popular destinations on the internet, with users visiting the platform daily.  The most important thing about YouTube is that it is second in terms of searches after Google. It is essential for every brand to have a presence on YouTube, especially  for businesses that rely heavily on image and produce relevant content.
